Raven
This is Raven. She was the first in our pack of Alaskan Malamutes. When we saw her, we fell in love and had to have her. She didn't have AKC papers, but it didn't matter. She was such a beautiful puppy. It only took a couple of minutes before we knew that she was going to turn out to be a special dog. Raven is the reason we got into breeding Alaskan Malamutes. It didn't take long for her to win our hearts and become part of the family. Raven is so smart and witty that you would almost think that she's part human. She is the Alpha female among the Malamutes. Whatever she says, Goes! She oversees the whole kennel. Raven weighs 87 lbs and is one of our smaller Malamutes. She has some Wakon in her.
Update: Raven suddenly passed away on March 9th, 2009 several days after the above pictures were taken. It happened so quickly that it came to us as such a shock. She began feeling sick over the weekend and we rushed her into the vet Monday morning. Her blood cells began attacking themselves and she became severely anemic. She couldn't make enough blood or get enough oxygen. She passed away on the operating table just an hour later. Please don't take your pets for granted.
The poem below has been written for Raven, My Baby Girl. I will always miss you!
Raven
There’s an empty spot next to my bed
Where once you placed your weary head
There’s a hole in my heart
Since we’ve been apart
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
A leash hangs without a walk
Unspoken words that I can’t talk
An empty bed lies on the floor
The warmth of you there is no more
A dish untouched, full of food
My life is filled with solitude
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
It happened so fast
Present turned into Past
Life should have been long
But instead, all went wrong
The brief time we had
Happy turned into sad
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
That dreadful day
As I felt you fade away
The look in your eye
I couldn’t help but to cry
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
All I can do is question Why?
Without any sort of reply
I can’t understand
As I touched your paw with my hand
What went wrong to turn out this way
Why did this sadness come this day
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
The glimmer of life slowly left your eyes
This whole damn thing came as a surprise
You had so much more to give
You had so much life to live
My heart aches with pain
It’s all so insane
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
The others, they miss you too
The days were just so few
Like us humans, they don’t know what to do
Without you
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
The tears rolled down my face
In my heart, there’s an empty space
As I turned to walk away
The look in your eye seemed to say,
“Please don’t cry, I’ll be okay”
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
But I just can't help to cry
I’ll never forget that long last sigh
As though you knew and just said, “Good Bye”.
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl
Oh Raven, My Baby Girl, I hope you’re free
Raven, My Baby Girl, you will always be
R.I.P.

Ophelia
This is Ophelia. She is 6 years old now and has been retired. We were lucky enough to purchase her together with Timber from Ryan Clark of Stratford Kennels. I can not thank him enough. When I found out that he was selling Ophelia and Timber, I had my husband drive halfway across the country to pick them up. There are no regrets here. Ophelia is such a saint with people. Unfortunately, she is also an Alpha female and doesn't get along with any of the other females so she and Timber have their own seperate kennel. Overlooking this trate, Ophelia is one of the sweetest and loving dogs. She is well obedient and the best mother I have ever seen as you can see in the picture above. Her bloodline includes Ellas, Wakon, Cascade, Ttundras and YukonJak.
Update: Ophelia is no longer in our breeding program. She has been spayed and retired.

Tera 1.11 years
This is Tera. We received her from Charmed One's Kennel. She is a great dog. Tera is an acceptional mother and very sweet. Tera is very sure of herself and outgoing. She is the alpha female at the moment, but due to her kind nature, I don't think she will be for long. Tera's father was a white wooly and her mother was a wolf gray. Her first litter were black/whites, grays and silvers. Tera is huge. We really didn't expect her to turn out so large because her parents weren't real large. Tera is half-sister to one of our males Viper. They have the same mother. Tera weighs 120 lbs. and still growing. Her bloodline includes Charmed Ones, Moonridge, Arctic Shores and Ttundras.
Update: Tera and Timber will be bred Fall of 2009. This will also be our last litter until Summer of 2010.

This is Crow. She was born on August 4th, 2008. Crow is from Ophelia and Timber's litter. She is a big baby like her father, but also possesses her mother's dominate personality. She loves children and playing in the sprinkler. Crow was the largest of the litter and it will be interesting to watch her grow and develop. Crow now weights 87 lbs at 8 months. Crow's bloodline includes Wakon, Moonridge, Ellas, Cascade, Ttundras and YukonJak.
Update: Crow will be taking over (Ophelia) her mother's place as a breeder. She will be placed in our breeding program in a few more years after we get the perfect male to mate with.

This is Tsunade (sue-nod-A). She was born on November 7th, 2008. Tsunade is a large sable pup with a light mask. She weighs 90 lbs at 9 months. Tsunade is a very laid back pup. She is very smart and catches on to commands quite quickly. Tsunade has taken quite a liking to Timber and is always following him around. She acts like a big sister to the brat pack (Kovu, Serenity & Keanna). She loves playing in the water and the mud. Her bloodlines include Kingfisher, Moonridge, Wakon, Hudson, Towbar and Alaskas Own.
Update: Tsunade will also be entered into our breeding program in the Sping/Summer of 2010 and will be bred to Timber. We are expecting these pups to be absolutely gorgeous and we hope to keep a male and female from this litter to add to our kennel.

This is Serenity. She was born on June 1st, 2009 at Willow Creek Kennel. Serenity, Keanna and Kovu are siblings and their parents are Timber and Crow. Serenity is a beautiful deep mahogany red ( almost brown) with a heavy mask like her father and brother. We are very fortunate to get such stunning colors from these pups. This was the first time that Timber threw any reds out of 11 litters and to get such beautiful and unique ones as these is very fortunate. Serenity seems to have the same type of coat as her fatherTimber. Serenity is a very sweet little lady, very feminine. Her biggest enjoyment seems to be cuddling up to one of us humans or laying in her favorite spot under the willow tree that she seems to have adopted. Serenity weighs 70 lbs at 7 mths. Her lines include Caledonia, Moonridge, Hooker, Ellas, Wakon, Cascade, Ttundras and YukonJak

This is Keanna. She was born on June 1st, 2009 at Willow Creek Kennel. Serenity, Keanna and Kovu are siblings and their parents are Timber and Crow. Keanna is a beautiful mahogany red with a striking mask like her father and brother. She has such an outstanding frame and markings, everything is well uniformed. After much consideration, we decided to keep Keanna because of her wonderful personality and striking looks. She is such an obedient pup and has a loving nature that wants to do nothing more than please us humans. One of Keanna's favorite activities is to play in water. She loves the pool, slip-n-slide, sprinkler and playing in her water bowl. Keanna weighs 73 lbs at 7 mths. Her lines include Caledonia, Moonridge, Hooker, Ellas, Wakon, Cascade, Ttundras and YukonJak
